<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device capable of preventing dusts, which enter into the lens drive device from between a subject side end face of the lens drive device and a movable body, from adhering to an imaging element and an IR cutting filter. <P>SOLUTION: A lens drive device 1 having a substantially square shape when viewed from an optical axis direction of a lens, includes: a movable body movable in the optical axis direction; a fixed body for holding the movable body so as to be movable in the optical axis direction; and a driving mechanism for driving the movable body in the optical axis direction. The fixed body includes a cover member 10 for covering the movable body and the outer peripheral side of the driving mechanism.
