The present invention provides a steel plate with high strength and abrasion resistance, having a Brinell hardness of = HB 420. The components (wt%) thereof are: C: 0.205-0.25%, Si: 0.20-1.00%, Mn: 1.0-1.5%, P=0.015%, S=0.010%, Al: 0.02-0.04%, Ti: 0.01-0.03%, N=0.006%, Ca=0.005%,and at least one of Cr=0.70%, Ni=0.50%, and Mo=0.30%, the balance being iron and inevitable impurities. The process for manufacturing the steel plate comprises heating a continuous cast billet or a steel billet at 1150-1250°C, then rolling in a recrystallization area and a non-recrystallization area, with the total reduction rate of =70% and a final rolling temperature of =860°C, then cooling with water to Ms-145 to Ms-185? at Vmin~50°C/s and then cooling with air to room temperature. The steel plate thus obtained with a thickness of 6-25 mm has a structure of martensite + retained austenite (5-10%), a hardness of = HB420, a yield strength of = 1000MPa, an elongation of =18%, and -40°C Akv of = 27J. The steel plate has excellent cold bending performance, especially a significant TRIP effect during use of the steel plate, significantly increasing the abrasion resistance and meeting the relatively high requirements for abrasion resistant steel plate in related industries. |
