<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus considering the contamination deposited on a side surface of upstream side of a recording head. <P>SOLUTION: The recording apparatus 10 includes: a transport roller 28 for feeding a recording medium in a feed direction; a recording head 36 for ejecting ink to the recording medium; a first movement mechanism 62 for moving the recording head in an intersecting direction intersecting with the feed direction; a cleaning member 60 disposed outside a recording area in a moving range of the recording head and rotating integrally with the transport roller; and a control unit 48 for positioning the recording head in a cleaning position by the cleaning member using the first moving mechanism based on a cleaning execution signal, and for making the cleaning member clean an upstream side surface of the feed direction in the recording head by rotating the transport roller. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
