Control system having tool tracking

A control system (30) is disclosed for use with a machine (12) having a work tool (29) and operating at a work site (10). The control system (30) may have a sensor (23) associated with the work tool (29) and configured to generate a signal indicative of a position of the work tool (29), an offboard worksite controller (28), and an onboard controller (26) in communication with the sensor (23) and the offboard worksite controller (28). The onboard controller (26) may be configured to receive from an operator an input indicative of a current task being performed by the machine (12), and track movement of a portion of the work tool (23) corresponding with the operator input. The onboard controller (26) may also be configured to communicate the tracked movement to the offboard worksite controller (28).
