PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a control method thereof are provided to enable a user to use unique properties of items by storing desired items as images. CONSTITUTION: A touch screen displays a screen related to a predetermined item. A control unit(180) captures a screen related to the item. The control unit stores property information related to the items by mapping the items on the captured images. When a touch input which is defined for the captured image is received, the control unit executes the items corresponding to the captured image based on the property information.
