摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a method for separating and refining high purity 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene, the method concentrating light cycle oil from which impurities are removed using a multi-stage distillation system and gradually increasing the concentration of 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene within a cake separated in a solid phase using a multi-stage flux crystallization method, so as to separate 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene components having a purity of 99 wt % or higher from the light cycle oil from which impurities such as sulfur, nitrogen and the like are removed through hydrotreatment, while using optimum flux and optimum operating condition for each step, thus separating and refining high purity 2,6-dimethylnaphthalene in an economically advantageous manner through a relatively simple process and without an excessive loss of yield.</p>
