This organic EL display device is provided with: an organic EL section resulting from sandwiching an organic layer between a first electrode and a second electrode, one of the two electrodes being a reflecting electrode and the other being a translucent electrode; a blue pixel section having a blue color filter that, of the light emitted from the organic EL section, primarily transmits light in the blue wavelength region; a green pixel section having a green color filter that, of the light emitted from the organic EL section, primarily transmits light in the green wavelength region; and a red pixel section having a wavelength conversion layer that, of the light emitted from the organic EL section, absorbs light in the blue wavelength region and/or light in the green wavelength region and emits light in the red wavelength region. |
