POWER SUPPLY CONTROL SYSTEM, OUTPUT SIDE POWER SUPPLY CONTROLLER AND DISPLAY SIDE POWER SUPPLY CONTROLLER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the presence or absence of cable connection to an output terminal and to reduce power consumption in a whole system by a method which does not hinder normal use.

SOLUTION: An output side power supply controller includes: a connection detecting section 52 for detecting the presence or absence of connection of a cable 20 to an output terminal 4; a control section 5 for controlling power supply of a video/sound output device 1 according to a detection result; and a non-audible sound signal processing section 6 for making non-audible sound signal communication with a video/sound display device 2 by using an analog terminal. The connection detection section 52 detects the presence or absence of the connection of the cable 20 to the output terminal 4 according to a communication result by the non-audible sound signal processing section 6 when the output terminal 4 is the analog terminal. A display side power supply controller includes a non-audible sound signal processing section 11 for making the non-audible sound signal communication with the non-audible sound signal processing section 6 by using an analog terminal.
