<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component cooling unit with a wider cooling area so that cooling performance is improved. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic component cooling unit comprises: a switching control unit frame 31 including a water-cooled room 35, formed therein, for circulating cooling water; at least one upper surface wall 35a provided to the switching control unit frame 31, and having a diode module 32 and an IGBT module 33 mounted thereon; a side face provided to the switching control unit frame 31 and surrounding the upper surface wall 35a; and a feeding opening nozzle 37 and a drain outlet nozzle 38 provided on the side face of the switching control unit frame 31 adjacently to each other and are connected to the water-cooled room 35. The water-cooled room 35 is in a roughly U-shape having the feeding opening nozzle 37 and the drain outlet nozzle 38 at both ends thereof, and formed so as to have the passage width, viewed from the upper surface wall 35a, larger in an opening 31a side than the nozzles 37 and 38 side of the switching control unit frame 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
