PURPOSE: A base station system for transmitting an optical signal and a multiplexing device thereof are provided to reduce investment costs for optical core infrastructure by transmitting an optical signal to a plurality of remote communication devices. CONSTITUTION: A second multiplexing device(108) blocks the input of a first optical signal according to a detection level of the first optical signal. A third multiplexing device(114) de-multiplexes a second optical signal distributed by the first multiplexing device to the optical signal of the assigned wavelength. The third multiplexing device converts the wavelength for each de-multiplexed optical signal. The third multiplexing device provides the signal in which the wavelength is converted to a remote communication device. The third multiplexing device blocks the input of the second optical signal according to the detection level of the second optical signal.
