<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, when hot air in the apparatus is exhausted to the outside thereof using a natural convection, capable of retaining the external appearance of the apparatus and highly efficiently suppressing a temperature rise of a cover member without sacrifice of exhaust efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an exhaust port 27 for exhausting hot air generated inside an apparatus body 100 to outside the apparatus body by the natural convection; and a cover member 24 that is freely opened and closed so as to occupy an open position when the apparatus is used and a storage position when being unused and, when occupying the storage position, faces the exhaust port. An outside air introduction port 31 that is communicated with an opening part 30 formed on the upper side of the cover member is provided on a surface 24a of the cover member that is, when the cover member occupies the storage position, positioned at a part lower than the exhaust port and orthogonally crosses with an apparatus body surface 103 in which the exhaust port is formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
