The lever arm of the linkage is pivoted on the outside frame. To this lever arm is connected a scissor linkage arm so that it can be adjusted relative to the lever arm, and the lever arm has a step with locking serrations. These serrations are connected to similar serrations in the scissor linkage arm. The lever arm has a parallel slot in through which pass fastening screws. These screws hold the two levers together. The length adjustment is positively locked by the serrations and by the clamping screws. This adjustable connection can accommodate high shock loads.
