<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump dredge ship with which the amount of dredged soil can be reduced by suppressing excessive overbreak caused by artificial errors or the like, and a dredge method using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A pump dredge ship comprises: a ladder 3 which is inserted into water while directing its head side toward the bottom of water; boring means 4 which is disposed in the head portion of the ladder; a transport pipeline 5 which opens a suction port 5a in the ladder head; a suction pump 6 which is connected to the transport pipeline; position detection means 15, 16 which detect a position of the ladder head; a water channel 20 one end of which is connected to a downstream side of the transport pipeline 5 rather than the suction port 5a in a suction direction and another end of which is opened in the water; and opening/closing means 21 which opens/closes the water channel 20. On the basis of actual position data of the ladder head obtained from the position detection means 15, 16, the opening/closing means 21 is operated, and water is guided from the water channel 20 into the transport pipeline 5, thereby suppressing the amount of sediment sucked from the suction port 5a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
