<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a polyester monofilament having tensile strength necessary and sufficient as a polyester monofilament used for industrial woven fabrics, exerting excellent hydrolysis resistance even when used under hot and humid environments, to which an adhesive matter such as a residue of foods is hardly attached, also having such non-adhesivity as to facilitate peeling even if it is attached, and extremely favorably usable as a raw yarn for industrial woven fabrics represented by a belt for conveying foods; and an industrial woven fabric using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The polyester monofilament includes a polycyclohexane dimethylene terephthalate resin containing 0.5-5 wt% of a carnauba wax.
