PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide not only a scenic area and a location of recommended photographing point but also instruct an appropriate photographic composition.

SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus (1) comprises: storage means (21) which stores plural pieces of scenic area information including a position of a photographing point facing a scenic area and a sample image showing a state where the scenic area is photographed from the photographing point; current position acquiring means (17) which acquires a current position; first display means (4) which displays the plural pieces of scenic area information stored in the storage means in a first display mode of a list form; second display means (4) which, when a distance to the photographing point included in any of the scenic area information displayed in the first display mode by the first display means is within a first distance relative to the current position obtained by the current position acquiring means, performs transmission display to one sample image included in the scenic area information within the first distance on a through image.
