The plant has a wind turbine with a vertical rotor axis, and a wave turbine (6) e.g. impulse turbine, staying in an active connection with an oscillating water column (4), where the turbines are mechanically coupled with each other. A gearbox (18) i.e. summation gearbox, is arranged upstream of a generator (20) arranged in the proximity of quiet water surface, where the wind turbine and/or the wave turbine are connected with the generator as a function of a wind sensor system and/or a wave sensor system.
