摘要 PURPOSE: A coefficient scan method based on a partition mode of a prediction unit and a device thereof are provided to determine a scan method by using a specific direction of the prediction unit or texture of a specific component, thereby improving coding efficiency and decoding efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A coding device receives a new CU(Coding Unit) of a current picture and calculates MVP(Motion Vector Prediction) of a current PU(Prediction Unit)(S710,S720). The coding device codes motion information of the current PU(S730). The coding device obtains and converts residual signals(S740,S750). The coding device determines a transmission object and scans a transform coefficient(S760,S770). The coding device extracts a candidate scan method by considering a partition shape of a prediction unit. The coding device determines a scan method among extracted candidate scan methods based on RDO(Rate Distortion Optimization).
