<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor which can be easily and precisely positioned on an installation object. <P>SOLUTION: A reactor 1 is provided with an assembly 10 having a coil 2 and a magnetic core on which the coil 2 is disposed, and a case 4 for storing the assembly 10. The case 4 is provided with a bottom plate portion 40 opposing to a placing surface in an installation object of the reactor 1; and a side wall portion 41 united with the bottom plate portion 40, and surrounding the periphery of the assembly 10.
