The device (1) has a handling unit (2) i.e. blow-mounding machine, for handling containers (10) in a preset manner, and another handling unit i.e. labeling device, where the units are arranged downstream in a conveying direction of containers, and comprise multiple handling elements (14a-14c). The handling elements handle the containers, and a state-recognition device (7) recognizes an atypical state of the handling elements. A control device assigns the handling elements to the containers, and an entry barrier interrupts the supply of containers to the handling units. An independent claim is also included for a method for handling containers. |
