PURPOSE: A pneumatic tire for a heavy load is provided to improve durability of a tire with suppression of crack growth by reducing transmission of heat and by suppressing the heat generated from an edge unit of a belt layer. CONSTITUTION: A pneumatic tire for a heavy load comprises a tread(1), a carcass(2), a belt layer(3), and an insulation material(6). The belt layer comprises first, second, and third belts(3a,3b,3c) and is arranged between the tread and the carcass in order to prevent separation phenomenon of the tread and the carcass and to relieve an impact force. The insulation material comprises an air pocket and is inserted into an edge unit(4) of the third belt.
