A means to transfer electricity features a socket plate 10 to which is affixed a plurality of solid metal pins 8. A junction box 1 comprises apertures for mains cables 2 and 3, and a metal connector plate 4 on which are mounted two sets of terminals 5 for the cables. These are connected to hollow metal pins 6 covered by rubber sleeves 7, to which the pins 8 are assembled so that the socket plate and junction box create a sealed unit.
