<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To address the problem of stably dispersing a pyridine antibacterial/antifungal agent in a liquid, and appropriately applying this pyridine antibacterial/antifungal agent to fibers, as well as appropriately imparting antibacterial/antifungal properties to fibers, without causing an adverse effect even when the agent is used together with processing agents used during processing treatment of the fibers, such as dyes and fabric conditioners. <P>SOLUTION: An agent for imparting antibacterial/antifungal properties that contains the pyridine antibacterial/antifungal agent and a modified polysaccharide having a reduced number of hydroxyl groups is used, and this agent for imparting antibacterial/antifungal properties is applied to fibers, which are subsequently heat-treated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
