摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve convergence to a target engine operation point, when the operation point of an engine changes in torque base control, by improving control responsiveness and control stability of suction air volume control, in a control device of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: This control device of the engine includes: a target ignition timing arithmetic operation means 6A for arithmetically operating the target ignition timing for calculating the air volume to be introduced into a cylinder 19 of the engine 10; a heat efficiency arithmetic operation means 7 for arithmetically operating heat efficiency of the engine 10 on the basis of the target ignition timing; and a target air volume arithmetic operation means 4 for arithmetically operating the target air volume, which is a target value of the air volume to be introduced into the cylinder 19, on the basis of the heat efficiency.
