<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate optical axis alignment. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical axis alignment method, a first optical fiber array is constituted by supporting first optical fibers in a plurality of first V grooves for optical fibers, which are formed obliquely at a prescribed angle to a direction vertical to an end surface of the first optical fiber array and are formed along a plane including a light propagation path, and a second optical fiber array is constituted by supporting second optical fibers in a plurality of second V grooves for optical fibers, which are formed obliquely at a prescribed angle to a direction vertical to an end surface of the second optical fiber array and are formed along the plane including the light propagation path, and optical axes of the first optical fibers and optical axes of the second optical fibers are shifted from each other along the plane, and the end surface of the first optical fiber array and the end surface of the second optical fiber array are disposed opposite to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
