<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejecting apparatus capable of reducing scattering of liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejection head which has a nozzle forming surface where a nozzle for ejecting liquid has been formed, and a cap which covers at least a portion of the nozzle forming surface. The cap has a first wall which is formed to be annular, has an abutting part made to abut on the nozzle forming surface and surrounds the predetermined portion of the nozzle forming surface, a second wall which is provided to be annular in parallel with the inner surface of the first wall inside the first wall, and a liquid holding part which connects the first wall and the second wall so that a groove may be formed between the first wall and the second wall, and holds the liquid adhering to the abutting part and at least a portion of the inner surface of the first wall. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
