<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately detect the wear state of a wear side component with a controller disposed on an opposite component without connecting the wear side component and the opposite component, which move relative to each other, by wiring or any other way. <P>SOLUTION: A wear detection system comprises a wear gauge 4 that is disposed on a wear side component 2 and whose tip 41 arranged along a sliding face 21 of the wear side component 2 is provided with a wear detecting line 43; a wear side light emitting element 6 disposed on the wear side component 2 and connected to the wear detecting line 43; a light receiving element 8 disposed on an opposite component 3 in a position where it can oppose the wear side light emitting element 6 while the wear side component 2 is sliding; and a controller 9 disposed on the opposite component 3 to detect the wear state of the wear gauge 4 on the basis of the state of light reception by the light receiving element 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
