A thin-film solar battery cell (10) has a first electrode layer, a power generation layer (4) for performing photoelectric conversion, and a second electrode layer formed in this order on one surface of a substrate, the one surface being roughed and having recesses and protrusions. The thin-film solar battery cell (10) includes a recess and protrusion smoothing film (2) at least at the recess bottoms of the recesses and protrusions between the substrate and the first electrode layer, the recess and protrusion smoothing film (2) smoothing the recesses and protrusions such that the film thickness becomes thicker from the protrusion tops of the recesses and protrusions toward the recess bottoms of the recesses and protrusions. The recess and protrusion smoothing film (2) has a curvature radius of 0.5 mum to 10 mum, inclusive, at the recess bottoms of the recesses and protrusions formed on the surface on the side of the first electrode layer. |
