The present invention relates to an automatic pipe opening/closing apparatus using buoyancy which prevents low-concentration drain water having a low contamination level from being introduced into a sewage disposal plant when rain water introduced into a storm overflow diverging tank due to heavy rain and an amount of sewage are increased, and more particularly, to an automatic pipe opening/closing apparatus using buoyancy in which only an inlet of an intercepting pipe through which sewage is discharged into a sewage disposal plant is opened under normal circumstances, an inlet of a discharge pipe through which the sewage is discharged into a river is closed, and a float ascends by means of buoyancy when the water level within the storm overflow diverging tank rises during the heavy rain so as to automatically close the inlet of the intercepting pipe and automatically open the inlet of the discharge pipe, and a method of controlling same. |
