<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable negative ion generator which radiates negative ions so that a human body is showered with negative ions easily. <P>SOLUTION: A portable negative ion generator 1 comprises a housing 2 in which radiation holes 2a for radiating negative ions 101 are formed, a battery built in the housing 2, a circuit mounting board and a discharge electrode 7 built in the housing 2 and configuring a negative ion generation circuit, and a positive electrode 6 projecting outward of the housing 2.
