<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device and a photographing method that, in photographing, enable a user to intuitively understand a photographing situation on the basis of an instruction from a camera and to immediately perform photographing in accordance with the instruction. <P>SOLUTION: A release switch 6a is provided on an upper surface of a camera 10, and a display unit 8 is provided on a back surface. When regularly-reflected light is detected, a warning indication 8c or an indication 8d that it is caused due to the angle of the camera is made.
