<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latent image printed matter, which has a structure in which a latent image is concealed in a visible image by shade generated by interference between two objects, which eliminates the need for high-level printing alignment or strict ink color matching and can be manufactured inexpensively, and which has so-called change effect in which an image observed under visible light and the image observed at a specific wavelength band become different images. <P>SOLUTION: A latent image printed matter includes a printing image having a color different from that of a base material on at least a portion of the base material. The printing image is obtained by superimposing a first image and a second image. The first image is obtained by successively arranging first objects in a specific direction at a specific pitch. A portion of the first object is provided with a region having a different object area ratio. The second image, while being formed with second significant information, is obtained by successively arranging second objects in a direction the same as the specific direction and a pitch the same as the specific pitch.
