<p>A method of installing a dust bag 140 in a vacuum cleaner comprises inserting a collar 146 of the filter bag 140 into a mounting member 156 of the vacuum cleaner, rotating the mounting member 156 from a loading position to a closed position, allowing the mounting member 156 to reach a fully closed position when the collar 146 of the bag 140 is in a correct orientation by passing at least one protrusion 518, 520 formed on the vacuum cleaner through a corresponding void 818, 820 in the collar 146 wherein the at least one protrusion 518, 520 is in addition to a dirty air nozzle inlet 506 of the cleaner and latching 522 the collar 146 when the mounting member 156 is moved into the fully closed position. When the protrusions 518, 520 are not aligned with the voids 818, 820 the collar 146 prevents the mounting member 156 from being moved to its closed position. Latching the bag 140 can include releasably retaining a top edge of the collar 146.</p> |
