摘要 PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of fire retardant magnesium oxide boards using ferronickel slag is provided to replace expensive magnesium oxide which is a basic material of the magnesium board with ferronickel slag through drying, crushing, and mechanical-chemical activation processes of the ferronickel slag. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of fire retardant magnesium oxide boards using ferronickel slag comprises the following steps: drying ferronickel slag; pulverizing and activating the dried ferronickel slag; manufacturing fine powder by controlling the grain size of the activated ferronickel slag powder; and mixing, molding, and curing the ferronickel slag fine powder as a substitute material of magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride which is a firming agent. In the last step, the ferronickel slag powder is used as a substitute material of the magnesium oxide if an organic binder is used. The shredding method of the second step uses a Raymond mill and a centrifugal vibration mill. The grain size of the activated ferronickel slag powder is adjusted to be 100 meshes or less.
