<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a hot-rolled ferritic stainless steel strip containing high Al which improves surface texture without diminishing toughness and enables production in a stable manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: The steel contains, in mass%, 0.05% or less of C, 2.0% or less of Si, 1.0% or less of Mn, 0.003% or less of S, 0.05% or less of P, 15.0-35.0% of Cr, 0.05-0.30% of Ni, 3.0-10.0% of Al, 0.10% or less of N, 0.02% or less of Ti, 0.02% or less of Nb, 0.02% or less of Ta, 0.005-0.20% of Zr, 0.02% or less of Ce, 0.03-0.20% of REM other than Ce, and at least one of Mo and W by 0.5-8.0% in total, with the balance including Fe and inevitable impurities. When the steel is subjected to hot rolling, the hot rolling is finished at a temperature of 850°C or more. Then, the steel is quenched to 500-650°C at a cooling rate of 10°C/s or more, and then is made into a coil by performing winding. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
