摘要 [Problem] To provide: a method for synthesizing spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles, which is easy to operate, does not require a long time for the synthesis, and can control the particle diameters or pore diameters of the spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles readily in accordance with the intended use applications of the spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles; spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles which are produced by the synthesis method; and a carrier for a gene gun, which comprises the spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles. [Solution] A method for synthesizing spherical porous titanium oxide nanoparticles, which comprises a step of reacting titanium isopropoxide with a carboxylic acid in a supercritical fluid, said method being characterized in that the supercritical fluid is supercritical methanol and the carboxylic acid is formic acid, acetic acid, benzoic acid, ortho-phthalic acid, fumaric acid or maleic acid.
