<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doctor device including a mechanism capable of avoiding adverse effects caused by foreign substances which go around to the back side of a doctor blade, and which enter a blade holder and accumulate therein. <P>SOLUTION: A doctor device 1 includes a doctor blade 2 and a blade holder 3 holding a rear end part 21 of the doctor blade 2. A roll 5 is rotated while a blade edge 22 formed at the front end part of the doctor blade 2 is brought into pressure contact with a surface 51 of the roll 5 from which foreign substances are to be scraped away, and thereby the operation of scraping away the foreign substances attached to the surface of the roll 5 is performed. The doctor device 1 includes a covering plate 6 arranged so as to cover and conceal the front side part of the blade holder 3, which faces the surface 51 of the roll 5, from the surface 51 of the roll 5. A front end part 61 of the covering plate 6 is brought into contact with the doctor blade 2, and a rear end part 62 of the covering plate 6 is held by the blade holder 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
