<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a tragic automobile accident arising from a human error, aiming at an ultimate target for an automatic car, by an additional technique without greatly improving techniques available now, because the automatic car can be accelerated or braked with only a driver's right foot and an operation mistake can cause a serious accident. <P>SOLUTION: A throttle valve of a carburetor is operated directly with a cable by a signal from an accelerator pedal. Then, an inline type erroneous operation avoiding system is mounted on a cable between an accelerator pedal and a carburetor. When the driver himself mistakes an acceleration and braking operation and steps strongly on an accelerator pedal or a brake pedal, this system cuts off the signal from the acceleration pedal and returns the throttle valve to the idle position by the force of the spring attached close to the carburetor. When the accelerator pedal returns to the idle position, all the systems are reset.
