<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input/output device capable of suppressing echo and howling. <P>SOLUTION: An input/output device includes a speaker, a microphone, an adaptive filter circuit, and a control circuit. The speaker outputs sound on the basis of a reception signal. The microphone generates a transmission signal by collecting the sound. The adaptive filter circuit generates a residual signal on the basis of a pseudo echo signal, that is generated from a transmission coefficient indicating sound transmission characteristics between the speaker and the microphone and a reception signal, and a transmission signal, that is amplified through a microphone amplifier circuit. The control circuit stops the output of a residual signal from the adaptive filter when muting at least one of the speaker and the microphone. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
