A press comprises four pull-rods 3 supporting the ram 5 and driven by eccentrics 12 on a shaft 13 disposed below the platen 2 and outside the rods, leaving a free-space R between the platen and floor which may accommodate delivery elements (not shown) associated with electric counters so that rotor or stator sheets may be counted and discharged in bundles. Sleeves 4 on the platen and ball-bearings (not shown) guide the rods, which are connected in pairs by bridges 6 linked at 7 to levers 8. These are driven at one end by the eccentrics 12 and connected at the other to links 10. A flywheel 14 and a brake are provided in the drive to shaft 13. |
