<p num="1">A method of controlling a lift installation (10) with several lifts (11, 12, 13), in which destination call inputs of passengers are input by way of destination call input apparatus (14) and in which at least one traffic criterion (32, 33, 34), which characterises a traffic intensity, of the lift installation (10) is measured by a lift control (16), wherein the lift control (16) allocates costs-optimising lifts (11, 12, 13) to the destination call inputs. In order to obtain an energy saving in lift installations (10) with a destination call control without prejudicing the transport capacity of the lift installation (10) it is proposed that the lift control (16) additionally allocates energy-optimising lifts (11, 12, 13) to the destination call inputs in dependence on the traffic criterion (32, 33, 34).
