PURPOSE: A fire extinguishing water supplying apparatus, and a controlling method thereof are provide to prevent the cavitation created inside a pipe during a discharging process of fire extinguishing water from the pipe after the operation of a pump. CONSTITUTION: A fire extinguishing water supplying apparatus includes a main pump(P1), a lift pump(P3), a hydraulic pump(P2), a vacuum secluding unit(VB), an air exhauster(L5), and a surge controller. The main pump supplies fire extinguishing water to a main pipe through a connection pipe, and is operated by a diesel engine. The lift pump is operated by the operational fluid pressure, and supplies the fire extinguishing water to the main pump through a vertical pipe. The hydraulic pump supplies the operational fluid pressure to an operation unit of the lift pump through a hydraulic supplying pipe. The vacuum secluding unit removes the vacuum condition from the connection pipe and the vertical pipe. The air exhauster is divided from the connection pipe. The surge controller controls the air exhauster. |
