<p>The assembly has a covered elongated body comprising a proximal part for working in a metaphyseal zone of a femur (27) and a distal part for working in a diaphyseal zone of the femur. A calibrator (1) comprises a section that is realized in a manner to deeply work in a receiving cavity of an implant comprising a femoral rod (T2) with different sizes. The cavity is worked by a smoothing rasp including a section corresponding to shape and dimension of chosen size of the femoral rod, where the rasp is made of plastic material. An independent claim is also included for a method for dimensioning a femoral shaft preparation and surgical instrument assembly.</p> |
