PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noble gas polarizer and a magnetic-resonance imaging apparatus capable of extracting rare gas in a super polarization state under high pressure. SOLUTION: Each vessel of a cell 110, of a trap part 20 and of an accumulator 300, and a pipe 40 are formed into a double structure having an inner wall of a glass material and an outer wall of stainless steel, and nitrogen gas of a pressure nearly the same as that of mixed gas in performing super polarization is enclosed in the gap between the inner wall and the outer wall. Thus, the super polarization and extraction of isotopic xenon are performed under high pressure and the super polarization degree of the isotopic xenon is improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
