<p>This image file generation device is equipped with: an image acquisition unit for obtaining a first image and a second image having a parallax from the first image; a parallax map acquisition unit for obtaining a parallax map representing the parallax from the second image with reference to the first image; an auxiliary information generation unit for generating auxiliary information which indicates the relationship between the first image and the parallax map; and a file generation unit for generating a single file which includes first data, second data, and parallax data, said first data describing the auxiliary information and the first image, said second data describing the second image, and said parallax data describing the parallax map. Consequently, the image file generation device is able to simultaneously achieve three-dimensional video display and applications which utilize the reference image and the difference data.</p> |
