<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a commutator that can suppress projection of a molding resin to the outside when an insulator of the commutator is molded out of the resin using a metal mold. <P>SOLUTION: Axial ends of a cylindrical blank 22 are formed in stepped shapes having a plurality of projection parts (bent ends 14a of respective risers 14, and bent ends 15a, 16a of first, second inner claws 15, 16) that project axially. Penetration projections 34a, 34b provided annularly to first, second metal molds 32a, 32b are pressed against the axial ends of the cylindrical blank 22 from axial directions to penetrate over peripherally wholly including bent ends 14a, 15a, and 16a of the axial ends, and the resin material is encapsulated inside the cylindrical blank 22 in this state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
