<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance versatility by allowing a pannier case to be attached to two different types of vehicle body-side mounting structures, in a pannier case mounting structure for a straddle type vehicle including: a first pannier-side engaging part which supports the weight of the pannier case by being detachably engaged with a first vehicle body-side locking part provided on a vehicle-body frame; and a second pannier-side engaging part for positioning in the vehicle width direction of the pannier case by being detachably engaged with a second vehicle body-side locking part provided on the vehicle-body frame side, the second pannier-side engaging part being arranged below the first pannier-side engaging part. <P>SOLUTION: A second pannier engaging part 43 includes: a hook part 57 provided on a pannier case 41 with an engaging groove 56 opened downward and formed adjacent to the pannier case 41; and an adapter 58 to be detachably mounted on the hook part 57 so as to be removably fitted to a rod-like second vehicle body-side locking part 52. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
