CARRIER FOR ELECTROSTATIC LATENT IMAGE DEVELOPMENT, DEVELOPER, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrier for electrostatic latent image development that satisfies the following characteristics: not being affected by hysteresis for a long period; developing a stable amount of toner; being excellent in color reproducibility; providing clear images; experiencing less reduction in chargeability and less change in carrier resistance caused by toner spent for a long period; and preventing scumming and intra-device contamination due to scattering of toner.

SOLUTION: A carrier for electrostatic latent image development of the present invention includes a core material, and a coating layer for coating the core material. The coating layer contains resin and fine particles; the difference in average layer thickness of the coating layer is 0.02 μm to 3.0 μm; the arithmetic average surface roughness Ra1 of the carrier is 0.5 μm to 0.9 μm.
