A link for a disintegrating ammunition belt comprises a middle clip portion 3 and integral therewith two further clip portions 4, 5, the portion 3 loosely embracing a cartridge 2 and having forward and rear transverse crosssections of slot form, the major axes of which are inclined to each other. The slots may be formed by two semicircular areas, the diameters of which correspond to that of a cartridge, and a rectangular area located therebetween. Alternatively, the slot may be formed of four quadrantal arcs whose radii are equal to that of a cartridge and whose centres are off-set with respect to the major axis of the slot joined by straight lines. The clip may also be provided with a lug 6 engaging the base groove of a cartridge and with one, or preferably two, indentations constricting the middle crosssection of the portion 3 to the diameter of a cartridge. |
