PURPOSE: An object communication entity and a software update method are provided to process a sub-parameter necessary for software installation and operation when software is remotely updated. CONSTITUTION: A client device, which performs software update, receives an update command message from a server(S310). The client device exchanges information necessary for update with the server(S330). The client device receives new software from the server(S340). The client device completes the update by using new update and transmits a message, which informs completion of the update, to the server(S360).
