<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking support device that detects a distance to a position of a concave/convex part on the ground, such as a car stop or a groove, with a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The parking support device includes: a transmission/reception means 1 that transmits, during the backward movement of a vehicle, a light beam which forms a predetermined angle to the rear of the vehicle with respect to the vertical straight line, at least in either one of an oblique downward direction or a vertical downward direction, and receives a reflected wave of the light beam reflected by the ground; a detection means 2 that detects a concave/convex part on the ground at a predetermined distance from the vehicle rear end based on the predetermined angle, on the basis of a change in intensity of the reflected wave received by the transmission/reception means 1; and a support means 3 that performs at least either one of notification and vehicle control based on the detection result of the detection means 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
